TSS: Understanding Your Place
An understanding of self is the starting point to understanding a place. Get to know your place in this 90-minute virtual workshop through inquiry, exploration, and reflection by engaging in a virtual place-based scavenger hunt. Then dig more deeply to uncover a story about your place to deepen your own understanding of your community’s history and current events.
Environment Action Civics Caring for Our Watersheds Info Session
Attend an info session with your students on Opening Day to learn more about Caring for Our Watersheds and ask questions. Attending an info session is mandatory to kick off the competition for your students and will be offered at multiple times throughout the day. Join Roots ConnectED to walk through critical thinking skills first hand. Educators will interact with a text as a learner and engage with critical literacy strategies and will leave with a deeper understanding of helping students have tools to understand power, perspective, and positionality in text and the world around them.

You’ll be immersed in the culture of what it means to be a seasoned BPL school – through real-time, interactive experiences with leaders, advisors, students and national BPL staff.
